With Cold & Snow...

....Come thoughts of Spring!  Our most enjoyable time of year is Spring.  We sit in the warmth of the sun and watch the small birds working so hard to feed their young.  Especially inviting are Hummingbirds!  Working on this special task has been the most enjoyable set thus far.  Be prepared on Monday to stitch your 2010 or 2011 calendars with designs to give as special gifts, handmade from you!

Santa Elf Charms

FSL SnoFlakes

"Kitty Kitty Designs is always interesting at Christmas time. Some of our best work comes out from the recesses of humorous minds to create designs that make you giggle."

Often or not, we place loads of inspiration into our designs that bring life to thread. Take for instance this week's release of "SnoFlakes". These designs are stitched on water soluble stabilizer and then rinsed and air dried for an immediate use! Called "FSL" or "Free Standing Lace" these designs have rapidly gained attention as they are simple to create and fast for giving!

A Rose is a Rose

Nothing beats the smell of graceful roses in the early morning dew. Simply one of God's most beautiful art pieces!

Roses say it all. This week we dedicated a set of these beautiful florals in pink redwork to Katiefund of Colorado. "Katie's Rose" is a delightful set of rose embellished designs that simple are a breeze to stitch.

It's Almost Time!

I cannot believe that summer is nearing its end and school will soon begin here in the South. Already the parents are flocking to the sales and the kids are excited as a new school year is beginning.

Most excited are the new parents of those tots who are attending school for the first time! Excitement is mixed with sadness as yet another page in the lives flips to reveal a brand new stage for their loved ones.

I always loved a new year of school. Fresh books and crisp paper. The smell of hand printed mimeograph hand outs... "Ahhh... remember those damp papers you passed over your head to the person behind you?" The ink still fresh in my mind.

Or for me, the artist... that new sketch diary, Conte crayons and fresh pastels... and the awaiting of that first art class assignment.

Renewing friendships that had slacked during the summer and catching up with all the hopes and dreams of close friends. With these fond memories in place, I have created "Back To School" for those tiny tots making their first burst onto the playground scene. Adjusting to their new surroundings and making new friends to last a life time.
